Geographical Regions

EPDs and projects are connected to various geographical locations and boundaries. This page provides details of EC3's approach to this topic.

EC3 may be abbreviating some regional information. The following are the abbreviations and codes that EC3 uses:

  • 2-letter country codes,

  • 2-letter country codes + USA state alpha codes or Canada Province and territorial codes,

  • M49 region codes,

  • alias "EU27" for the 27 members of the Euro bloc,

  • alias "NAFTA" for the members of North American Free Trade Agreement
