Concrete, Reinforced, by volume

allows the user to calculate the amount of rebar within a given volume of concrete. The user can input a percentage of overpour, a percentage of lap splice or “overlaps”, and a weight of rebar per volume of concrete (lbs/yd3 or kg/m3). There is a lookup table link to support users with determining the amount of rebar per volume if this is unknown. (1) Hover your mouse anywhere in the “rebar/1 yd3 or m3” cell and a pop-up will appear titled “See lookup table”. Click the lookup table link and you will be navigated to a chart that provides typical weight of reinforcement for various concrete elements such as beams, columns, and slabs.

Concrete, Reinforced, by area Builder

allows the user to calculate the amount of rebar within a given area of concrete. The user can input concrete thickness, percentage of overpour, a percentage of lap splice or “overlaps”, and a weight of rebar per area of concrete (lbs/ft2 or kg/m2).

Floor, Composite Mass Timber

allows the user to calculate the amount of floor slab, topping slab and reinforcement, composite topping slab and reinforcement, composite topping slab connectors, and area of finish flooring in a composite timber floor assembly. The user will input details of the assembly as outlined in the photo below

Floor, Light Frame Wood

allows the user to calculate the amount of subfloor, underlayment, topping slab underlayment, topping slab reinforcement, and floor finish material in a typical light frame wood floor assembly. The user will input details of the assembly as outlined in the photo below.

Floor, Non-Composite Mass Timber

allows the user to calculate the amount of floor slab, topping slab and reinforcement, underlayment, subfloor, and area of finish flooring in a non-composite timber floor assembly. The user will input details of the assembly as outlined in the photo below.

Floor, Slab on Metal Deck

the user to calculate the amount of topping slab, mesh, concrete fill, and steel decking material in a typical slab on metal deck assembly. The user will input details of the assembly as outlined in the photo below.

Glazing, Curtainwall

allows the user to calculate the amount of vision glass, framing, reinforcement, spandrel glass, spandrel insulation, shadow box, and sun shading material in a typical curtainwall assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such as how many times the section repeats, and the dimensions of the panels as outlined in the photo below.

Glazing, Storefront

allows the user to calculate the amount of vision glass, framing, reinforcement, spandrel glass, spandrel insulation, shadow box, and sun shading material in a typical storefront assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such as how many times the section repeats, and the dimensions of the panels as outlined in the photo below.

Glazing, Window Wall

allows the user to calculate the amount of vision glass, framing, reinforcement, spandrel glass, spandrel insulation, shadow box, and sun shading material in a typical window wall assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such as how many times the section repeats, and the dimensions of the panels as outlined in the photo below.

Wall, CMU

allows the user to calculate the amount of CMU block, mortar mix, and concrete fill in a typical CMU wall assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such as void percentage, number of blocks per area, weight of rebar per area, etc. as outlined in the photo below.

Wall, Interior Metal Stud

allows the user to calculate the amount of paint/surface finish material, sheathing, gypsum board, metal studs, and insulation in a typical metal stud wall assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such the size and spacing of metal studs, R_Value of insulation, and facing materials as outlined in the photo below. If you don’t want to include insulation you can either enter “0” in the R value field or delete the sub-element representing insulation after generating the Multi Material element.

Wall, Wood Stud

allows the user to calculate the amount of paint/surface finish material, sheathing, gypsum board, wood studs, and insulation in a typical wood stud wall assembly. The user will input details of the assembly such the size and spacing of studs, R_Value of insulation, and facing materials as outlined in the photo below.
