EC3 Export Results Overview

After the export finishes successfully, the following report window will be shown.

You could view a more detailed CSV report by clicking the Open report as CSV button.

All CSV reports are automatically saved to the following location:

  • For Revit 2024 version: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\C-Change Labs Inc\tallyCAT\2024\Reports

  • For Revit 2023 version: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\C-Change Labs Inc\tallyCAT\2023\Reports

  • For Revit 2022 version: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\C-Change Labs Inc\tallyCAT\2022\Reports

  • For Revit 2021 version: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\C-Change Labs Inc\tallyCAT\2021\Reports

  • For Revit 2020 version: C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\C-Change Labs Inc\tallyCAT\2020\Reports

Clicking the Open in EC3 button will open the exported EC3 building project in the Open in EC3 window which could take a couple of seconds to fully load.

  • The Project Name field is filled with the name specified during the export. It consists of the “tallyCAT:” prefix and the project name specified by the user during the export.

  • The Project address is taken from the Location and Site settings in the Revit file and recognized by the Google Maps service.

  • The preview displays a screenshot of the tallyCAT view at the time of the export.

  • Under the title there is also the version number incrementing during each update followed by the initial upload date.

  • In the Building Classification section the Material Quantity Source is set to Revit Import.

  • In the Floor Area and EC sections below, the following fields are calculated: Floor Area Below Grade, Floor Area Above Grade, Gross Floor Area, Floors, Height, Weight, EC Building Intensity (Achievable, Realized, Conservative), EC Building Total (Achievable, Realized, Conservative).

    • The Floor Area Above Grade is the total area of all Revit floor instances assigned to the levels above ground.

    • The Floor Area Below Grade is the total area of all Revit floor instances assigned to the levels below ground.

    • The number of Floors is the total number of unique levels above ground which have at least one floor instance assigned to them.

    • The Height is taken from the highest occupiable level in the building.

Below, the project data is structured hierarchically in two main views: Revit View and Custom View.
